    My question to you… Are you DTV ready?

    When you flip the switch, will you get that warm fuzzy feeling? Or will the only thing fuzzy you get; is the picture on your TV?

    Digital TV Deadline has Been Delayed

    lcd-or-dlp-hdtv Digital TV Deadline has Been DelayedWASHINGTON – The Senate on Monday voted unanimously to postpone the digital tv deadline, A.K.A. the transition from analog to digital television broadcasting by four months to June 12, 2009 — setting the stage for Congress to pass the proposal as early as Tuesday.

    Monday’s Senate vote is a big victory for the Obama administration and Democrats in Congress, who have been pushing for a delay amid growing concerns that too many Americans won’t be ready for the currently scheduled Feb. 17, 2009 changeover.

    Also as a side note: The government ran out of DTV converter box coupons earlier this month. Unfortunately about 2.5 million Americans are still on a waiting list for to get coupons to purchase DTV converter boxes.

    Alas, that’s not quite the case. A full 18 percent of HDTV owners can’t tell the difference between SD and HD, according to a survey from Leichtman Research Group, which polled over 1,300 U.S. households about what they were watching…Read the rest
