Why iDon’t Like the iPhone At All

Published by John under Apple iPhone

Apple iPhone PictureA colleague of mine, Gary Kopycinski recently published this post on his blog about his experience with the new Apple iPhone (3G version).  It did not take me long to realize that he was not a fan of the iPhone.

During his account he also tells of his experience in the AT&T store, which I have experienced first hand in the same store.  I have listed a small sample of the article below:

The iPhone 3G looked nice.  At $299, it was just within reach of my budget, but not really what iWanted to spend.

iWent online with it.  Very slick interface, and an extremely quick load.  Opening the web browser, iDecided to load my most complex site, which happens to be this one, eNews Park Forest.  iOpened up the QWERTY keypad and began to enter the URL: www.enewspf.com.

That’s when the problems began…Read more of Why iDon’t Like the iPhone At All

John’z comments about the Apple iPhone
Gary, it’s funny you should mention the store in Homewood. I to have had similar experiences there, I no longer go there anymore.

I would actually like to have an Apple iPhone, but even at $299 (far less than the initial roll-out); it is more than I care to spend on a phone.

I actually spent quite a bit of time getting acquainted with the first roll out of the iPhone (see - http://www.johnzpchut.com/iphone.htm).  But lately I have just not been that into the Apple iPhone.

I currently own a Samsung BlackJack II (refurbished), which while not the best looking phone, looks a lot better than its predecessor.  In any case it works for me.

It took me a little while to get use to it, but I do like it and can live with the Microsoft Mobile OS that it runs on.

Prior to the BlackJack II, I owned a BlackBerry, which I thought was a great cell-phone.
